A Guide to Your Wedding Day At The Bath Priory Hotel
Congratulations on your forthcoming Marriage. We are delighted that you are
considering The Bath Priory Hotel as the venue for your very special day.
If you are searching for a stylish and memorable wedding venue, The Bath Priory can provide exactly what you are looking for. Set in four acres of informally landscaped gardens on the fringes of Georgian Bath this beautiful English country house with a tranquil and elegant atmosphere boasts an award-winning, Michelin Star restaurant. We are a small team of experienced staff who will attend to every detail, advise you on arrangements and will tailor services to your personal requirements to ensure that your day is a perfect one.
If your guests are travelling a distance then our beautiful, luxury en-suite
accommodation offers the very best in comfort and elegance. Guests are welcome
to make full use of our Garden Spa leisure facility during their stay with our
rates for accommodation inclusive of full English breakfast, newspaper and complimentary,
on-site car parking. We guarantee your bedrooms to be ready by 2.00pm and ask
that guests please help us to honour this undertaking for subsequent guests

Choice of Dining
Rooms
Up to 64 guests may be seated on round tables in our inter-connecting function
rooms, The Terrace, The Orangery and The Pavilion. These rooms all face south,
flooding the rooms with natural daylight. From here, you will be perfectly placed
to take in the stunning view of our four acres of award winning landscaped gardens.
For smaller weddings, when reserved individually, these rooms offer a wonderfully
intimate atmosphere and are ideal for seating up to 22 guests. The largest of
these rooms, The Pavilion, has its own balcony, with direct access onto our
garden terrace.
Wedding Breakfast & Wines
We are delighted to be able to announce that our restaurant has retained its
prestigious Michelin Star for its acclaimed food for the 6th consecutive year.
Our Head Chef works closely with our Head Gardener, bringing to the table the
season’s offerings, carefully prepared with classic ingredients and the
finest local produce.
We pride ourselves in providing the highest standard of service and for us to be able to offer wedding parties the opportunity to dine with us, we ask that you choose one set menu for all guests; the same starter, main and dessert course. Whilst we request that you choose the same menu for the whole party, we are always able to create an additional menu for those with special dietary requirements.
Our Wedding Breakfast menu starts from £49.50 per person, for 3-courses and includes coffee and petit fours. We would be delighted to discuss the possibilities for offering your guests canapés with drinks and extending your menu to 4 or even 5 courses. Please contact us for more information. General Information
& Bookings
We are delighted to be able to provide, place cards, menus, table plans and
bud vases with our compliments. Should you require any help or advice with any
of your arrangements, we will be happy to advise you on any services based on
your personal requirements.
Bookings & Deposits
For all bookings we require a deposit of 10% of the total number of wedding
breakfasts and room hire, within 14 days of your verbal confirmation. Full payment
will be required three months prior to your wedding day. Please contact us for
information on deposits and confirmation required for exclusive use of The Bath
Priory Hotel.
All rates and prices contained on this site were correct at time of printing and are subject to change without prior notice at the discretion of the General Manager. VAT is included at the current rate of 17.5% with service left to your discretion.
Civil Wedding Ceremonies
On arrival, your guests will be shown through to the main reception room. After a brief meeting with the attending Registrar, you will join them for the ceremony. Once the formalities are complete and you are “Husband and Wife” you may wish to wander out onto the garden terrace and lawn. The main house and gardens provide an ideal location for your wedding day photographs.
Our Michelin-star restaurant is the perfect setting for your wedding breakfast with our Head Chef and his team, guaranteed to prepare a sumptuous and memorable meal, befitting the finest of occasions.
We are able to hold civil ceremonies on any day of the week to take place between 12 noon and 1.30pm. The afternoon reception and wedding breakfast will then be held with this part of your special day concluding at 5.30pm. Our function rooms form part of our main dining room in the evenings for our residents’ use.

Our dining rooms are cleverly designed to enable them to be totally flexible in their use. We can create one intimate dining room able to seat up to 22 guests or one spacious, larger room able to seat up to 64 guests.
Once we have settled upon a mutually agreeable date, we agree to provisionally hold your booking for seven working days. This will allow you time to contact the local Registrar and ascertain their availability for the agreed date. We will then confirm your booking in writing and request a deposit, payable within fourteen working days. Please note that all legal formalities are dealt with directly by the Registrar. Room Layout
Function room layout and table plans are available on request. The Top Table
is traditionally set out as follows: Maid of Honour, Groom’s Father, Bride’s
Mother, Groom, Bride, Bride’s Father, Groom’s Mother, Best Man
Order of Speeches
Father of the Bride - Welcomes the new son-in-law to the family,
tells a memorable story about his daughter, toasts the happy couple.
Groom - Replies on behalf of the Bride; thanks the Bride’s
parents and his own; toasts the Bridesmaids and thanks all the guests for coming
and for their gifts.
Best Man - Replies on behalf of the Bridesmaids, says a few
warm words about the Groom and reads messages from those unable to attend.
Confetti
We kindly request that only flower petals are thrown outside on the garden terrace.
